Mel, do you have a really GOOD IL map?  The Gazetteer sold at WalMart is
superb.

There is a FOUR county corner at Vermilion/Champaign/Douglas/Edgar.  It is
accessible by road.  I have never seen it.  It could be a line-noise
nightmare...or not.  I pointed it out to K9CW, who lives in Champaign and
have gotten no indication back from him as to whether or not anyone from his
area will be operating from there.  If so, you wouldn't want to try it, I'd
guess.

Otherwise:

Douglas/Coles/Edgar:  no road shown
Coles/Edgar/Clark: road access (from E,W)
Coles/Cumberland/Clark: road access (from N,S,W)
Cumberland/Clark/Jasper: road access (from N,S,E,W)
Clark/Crawford/Jasper: road access (from N,E,W)
Cumberland/Jasper/Effingham: road access (from S,E...I 70 runs almost
through         the intersection)
Cumberland/Effingham/Shelby: road access  (from N, S, E)
Coles/Cumberland/Shelby: road access (from N,S,E,W)
Effingham/Fayette/Shelby: road access (from N,E,W)
Fayette/Montgomery/Shelby: road access (from E,W)
Christian/Montgomery/Shelby: road access (from N,S,E,W)
Bond/Fayette/Montgomery: hard to say for sure; the corner is at a page break
on the map; I'd say the corner is 1/4 mile from highway185
Clinton/Fayette/Marion: road access (from N,S,E,W)
Clay/Effingham/Fayette: road access (from N, E, W)
Clay/Fayette/Marion: road access (from N,S)
Clay/Marion/Wayne: road access (from N, S,W)
Clay/Jasper/Richland: road access (from N,S,E)
Crawford/Jasper/Richland: this one is "iffy", but it looks like a road hits
it from the east and then turns abruptly south
Crawford/Lawrence/Richland: road access (from N,S,E,W)

Note that I have NEVER seen any of these corners, to my knowledge.  YMMV.  I
have found this map to be very accurate, however.  If I can help with more
information, let me know.

You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find accessible 3-county corners in
western IL!  If they're not in the middle of a stream, they're in the middle
of a field....
