Hi Jim,    Will sure be watching for you an all those spots.   

I plan to operate portable again at the old 4-corner spot
(WBGO/OGLE/BOON/DEKA) with nephew, KN9T, who lives in Hennepin and
therefore will be leaving Putnam Co. open to mobiles.   I know our spot
is getting cliche but at 80 years, I shouldn't be expected to be too
innovative.  Getting to be harder to lob that antenna string over those
tree branches,  otherwise, I'm still a kid inside.  HI.    Maybe I'll do
a 2-op fixed station in Putnam w/KN9T next year for a change.  

As for the 3-letter abbreviations,  IF it can be done,  fine but
officially it would probably have to wait till 2003 cause our present
list of 4-letter ones is already out. But wait to see what Joe says.   He
has the final word.   Publications should have the copy of rules by now
and hope they don't screw them up.  Not much of any changes from last
year.    

I have an extra piece of brass here with your recent award engraving on
it.   The plate maker goofed and sent a couple of dupes for some reason. 
 If you want it,  lemme know.   Just the 3 X 4 inch plate, no wood.
