Hi Hal,
Well, I've been gone all weekend and just got home a few minutes before
the contest was over, so I'm afraid I haven't helped you much.....

I was sorry to miss this one. Picked up several new OH counties last
year, and all the guys were good about sending back reply cards.

Anyway, I sure hope you can make it to IL in October!

Hi Jim,

How are you? I hope this finds you well.

I tried to post the following to the IL QSO reflector but for some reason
it has not appeared. If you see this in time, would you mind posting this?
Some of the IL guys might like to get on today and make some contacts in
the OQP. (I'm sending this from my hotel room in Akron - I'll be out there
on the roads today so I hope we work.)

73 & thanks, Jim.

Here is the message. Title: Ohio QSO Party This Weekend

Hi Everyone

This message is a reminder that the folks in Ohio are holding their annual
QSO party this weekend. It begins at 11 AM Saturday (CDST) and runs for
12 hours.

I know that when I have operated the ILQP from IL, I always work a lot of
guys from Ohio and I'd like to suggest that everyone who can should get on
for at least an hour or two and pass out some points to the OQP folks. The
sponsor is the Mad River Radio Club, who also sponsors the Michigan QSO
Party. The MRRC members always make an effort to get on in the other state
qso parties, and they will surely reciprocate in October if they work a lot
of IL stations this weekend.

Activity will be mainly on 20 and 40, CW and SSB. If you have trouble
working the Ohio stations on 20, they should be very loud on 40. There are
at least six mobiles planning full time efforts. The mobiles typically
spend half of their time on 20 and half on 40, so if you keep a close watch
on 40, you should be able to work all of the mobiles in all of the counties
they hit.

This weekend will be a great chance to practice up for the Big Event in
October. On a personal note, I am trying to arrange my schedule so I can
come back again this year. Hope to see you all then.

73,

Hal W1NN
