The York Radio Club (YRC) will be hosting our Technician License Review Weekend on

Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15, 2026, at the Elmhurst Fire Training Facility.

Originally developed by Chuck (K9PLX) in 2004 and currently led by John (AC9UV), this proven,

high-yield review program covers all 9 modules across two focused sessions and maintains a 95% pass rate.

Schedule & Location

  *   Dates: Saturday, November 14 & Sunday, November 15, 2026

  *   Location: Elmhurst Fire Training Facility, Elmhurst, IL

  *   Exam Session: Administered on-site Sunday afternoon

Preparation & Details

  *   Format: This is an intensive review designed to consolidate self-study, not a ground-up course.

Candidates should complete independent preparation ahead of time using resources

like the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual or HamStudy.org.

  *   Class Registration: Free (pre-registration required due to limited classroom seating).

  *   Fees: A standard $14 exam fee is collected Sunday for the testing session, plus the $35 FCC application fee upon passing.
