Dear Cook County ARES® Members and Friends:

A statewide tornado drill will be conducted on
Tuesday 07 March 2017, around 1000 CST.

To participate, monitor for a test/drill alert
message beginning around 1000 (via NOAA weather
radio, broadcast media, or other sources), and
then check-in to a weather spotter net, or other
appropriate net, to make a report.

Expect to report the time you received the alert,
the source of the alert, your location, and other
information requested by the Net Control Station.

The Northern Cook County Skywarn Net (147.345
R+600 PL107.2) and Lake County RACES/ARES (147.18
R+600 PL127.3) have announced that they plan to
operate.

Many other local nets will be operating.

A net will also be called on 3.905 Mhz, the
Illinois statewide EmComm frequency.
