I'm consolidating a few announcements that may be
of interest:
1. The Illinois State ARES HF Net, which is held
on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 1630
local time, will be changing frequency to 7230
KHz (plus or minus a few KHz) for the summer.
(Effective Sunday 18 June 2017.)
2. Melrose Park Public Safety and Homeland
Security has a new weekly net on Tuesday
evenings at 1830 local time, on 147.36 MHz
R+600 PL136.5. Check-in to learn about
Melrose Park's ARES and other volunteer
programs.
3. The Illinois Statewide Simulated Emergency
Test (SET) will be held over a 73-hour period,
starting Thursday, 2 November 2017 at Noon,
local time, and ending Sunday, 5 November
2017, at Noon. Yes, November. Please mark
your calendars. More details to be announced.
4. Those who want to keep up with the latest

5. ARRL Field Day is coming up on the weekend of
