The K9RSR Radio Scouting committee will be activating Hammel Woods
Forest Preserve at the Crumby Pavilion outside of Shorewood this
Saturday, October 15, for Jamboree On the Air. JOTA is a world wide
scouting event intended to get Scouts on the air!

We are expecting several Chicago area scouting units in the morning. We
will be operating HF phone stations on 20 & 40 meters. There will be a
roving HF digital station. The group will be monitoring the BARS UHF
repeater on 443.525 +5 PL tone 114.8. Scheduled QSOs on 2 meters will
also take place.

The K9RSR Radio Scouting Committee is composed of members from several
Chicago area ham clubs. It includes registered and trained scouters from
Rainbow and Three Fires Council.

On air operations will begin at 9 AM and run until done or dusk. For
