I will be hiking the Shabbona Trail between Channahon and Morris this
Saturday morning. The trail follows the Illinois and Michigan Canal for
about 16 miles. I'll have my VX-8DR with me if you live in the area and
want to try me on simplex.
Grids include EN51VJ, EN51UJ, EN51TI, and EN51SI.
I'll use the Wilderness Protocol, but in a constant scan mode.

223.500 MHz
446.000 MHz
I also will monitor repeaters located in Morris.
147.270 MHz
442.325 MHz
I recognize I'll be a weak signal, but maybe conditions will be good on
six meters.
