The primary mission of the National Weather Service is to save lives and protect property, and you can help! Meteorologists rely on WSR-88D Doppler Weather Radar to tell them what is happening in the sky during storms, but real-time reports from trained weather spotters are essential to helping them understand what is happening on the ground. Attendees will learn to identify severe storms and tornadoes as well as how to report them.

This training comes to Evanston on February 21 at 7:00 PM and will be held at the Lorraine Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave, 4th Floor, Parasol Room.
