There will be a test of the Emergency Alert System on Wednesday 
November 9, 2011 at 2pm Eastern on tv, radio, and there may be 
some impact to cable tv.  

This will be the first EAS test, so I thought I'd pass along a quick 
heads-up.  EAS is the follow-on to the old Emergency Broadcast 
System (EBS).
