The Illiana Radio Club is new and we're looking for members.
We're centered around the area where I-70 crosses the
Indiana/Illinois state line. We have members in Paris, IL,
Terre Haute, IN, and other places. If you're near the area
we would like for you to consider joining our club.

Our club has a web site at http://www.w9irc.org.
There you will find information about our activities and
a membership application. Dues are $20.00 per year
for the first member in a family and $5.00 per year for
additional family members. You can pay your dues via
the web page using a credit card or you can send a
check to:
     Illiana Radio Club
     PO BOX 5163
     Terre Haute, IN, 47805

We are ARRL affliated. We have a monthly meeting at
the Ryves Youth Center in Terre Haute, IN. We're just
wrapping up teaching a Technician class at Ryves. Our
usual meeting date is the 3rd Thursday of the month at
7:00 PM. However, the next meeting will be held at a
different place and time than usual. We're having it at
our Field Day site, Saturday, 6/27/09, 11:00 AM CDT.

The big event this coming weekend is Field Day and the
Illiana Radio Club hopes to make good use of it's club
call, W9IRC, in that. We'd like to see a good turn out
at our very first Field Day and so if you're nearby we'd
like to see you there. We'll be in a big tent at Dub's CB
Shop, which is just off exit 154 on I-70 in Illinois. You
can use the ARRL Field Day locator to find us.

Enter W9IRC and you will get a map to the location.

We've already scored the 100 bonus points for media
publicity. Here's a link to an article that appeared last
week in the Paris Beacon-News about our Field Day.
