Announcing:

The 2009 Illinois QSO Party will be Sunday October 19th. The event starts at
1700 UTC (12:00 noon CDST) on October 19 and ends at 0100 UTC (8:00 PM
CDST). There is something for all from 160 through 2 meters, CW, digital and
phone. The Western Illinois ARC like to encourage as many of you as can to
get on and give out counties here in Illinois. You may want to use this
event as a fall Field Day, a warm-up for the upcoming contest season or even
as an emergency preparedness drill.

The ILQSO email reflector for the ILQP is a good place to hear about last
minutes changes and intended operations, as well as getting questions

Currently, the proposed activity looks promising and there is a very good
chance someone will be able to work all 102 counties in Illinois this year.
We have a good group of operators that love to go mobile and portable and
chasing the mobiles from county to county keeps the action hot. We still
could use several more fixed stations as well!
