[ILHam] Elmhurst-based York Radio Club meets Sept. 21

MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Elmhurst-based York Radio Club will hold its
monthly meeting on Friday, Sept. 21, at 8:00 p.m.

After a brief business meeting, members will discuss
operations during the recent severe thunderstorm and
emergency power, including generators, deep-cycle
batteries and solar power.

The meeting will take place at the Elmhurst Fire
Department Training Facility, 910 N. Addison Ave., two
blocks south of Grand Avenue and one block west of
York Road. The gatherings are free and open to all.

The club offers testing for all amateur licenses
before the meeting, starting at 7:00 p.m. For more
