[ILHam] Echolink Illegal?

Gentleman and Gentle ladies, 

I have a weird question for you.

This evening, I recieved a phone call from y dad who is a General licensee.
He related a strange story about Echolink having been ruled as illegal by FCC Enforcement. 

I haven't seen anything at all anywhere to confirm this. He stated that people are getting their licenses yanked for Echolink use. I asked if this was for misconduct that broke part 97 regs perhaps, but he replied in the negative. 

This is just a fishy story. 

Anyone know anything?
