The North Shore Radio Club will link its repeaters Thursday, June 8, for the
8:00 p.m. CDT net. Check in on the two meter repeater (147.345 MHz, +600 KHz,
PL 107.2 Hz) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz, PL 100.0 Hz). However, please
check 2-meters if you don't hear us on UHF. It's suggested that the operator
pause for about a second after keying the microphone to allow the linkage to
pick up the request to transmit, especially on the 440 band.

In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and
American Radio Relay League (ARRL) news, this week's net will include the RAIN
Report and Amateur Radio Newsline. This week's RAIN Report is "FCC 2006 Update Part

Two," the second excerpt from the just-completed 2006 Dayton Hamvention FCC
forum.

ARNewsline reports that the expanding wireless broadband in the U-K could
mean problems for Amateur Satellite operations world-wide, the federal B-P-L
rules to be transferred to the FCC Enforcement Bureau and good and bad news about
the upcoming solar cycles.

All licensed amateurs are welcome to check in. Check-ins are taken by net
control Dave, N3BXY, at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and Newsline,
and after Newsline.

73,
Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
North Shore Radio Club
