Zion Illinois has become "Radio-active"

East Elementary School in Zion Illinois is forming a radio club. These fifth
and sixth graders picked a name most appropriate, considering they are in
the shadows of a decommissioned nuclear power plant. They call themselves
"Radio Active".

With limited school budgets already stretched thin, and other club start up
costs, the kids are looking for your help by donating used technician class
license study guides like the popular title "Now You're Talking". This will
enable a few of these kids who do want to work on their "ticket" can get a
start in the right direction. Please look around your "shack" and send these
kids the study guide you no longer need.

Here's something to keep in mind. These kids are going to be your local,
state and federal government officials of the future. We want them to grow
up with a positive and rewarding experience from amateur radio as a youth.
It will make a difference!

Please send any license study materials to their school facility advisor at
the following address:

Mr. Nathan McCray

East Elementary School

2913 Elim Avenue

Zion, IL 60099

If you do have any questions, feel free to contact me directly at the above
email address.

Thanks in advance for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
