The North Shore Radio Club will link its repeaters Thursday, April 27, for
the 8:00 p.m. CDT net. Check in on the two meter repeater (147.345 MHz, +600
KHz, PL 107.2 Hz) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz, PL 100.0 Hz). However,
please check 2-meters if you don't hear us on UHF. It's suggested that the
operator pause for about a second after keying the microphone to allow the
linkage to pick up the request to transmit, especially on the 440 band.
In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and
American Radio Relay League (ARRL) news, this week's net will include the RAIN
Report and Amateur Radio Newsline. Amateur Radio Newsline reports on the closing of
a U-K research service may impact on ham radio, frequency hopping power
supplies could become a new source of interference and the happy ending to a
repeater interference problem in the U-S-A.
All licensed amateurs are welcome to check in. Check-ins are taken by net
control Mark WA9IVH, at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and Newsline, and
after Newsline.
73,
Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
North Shore Radio Club
