The North Shore Radio Club will link its repeaters on May 25 for the 8:00
p.m. net. Check in on the two meter repeater (147.345 MHz, +600 Hz., PL 107.2

Hz.) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz., PL 100.0 Hz.). It's suggested that
the
operator pause for about a second after keying the microphone to allow the
linkage to pick up the request to transmit, especially on the 440 band.

In addition to local traffic, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and AR
Newsline. The RAIN report, "Short-wave Comes of Age," is a rerun of a May,
1991, RAIN Special Report that features Larry Magne, Editor of Passport to World
Band Radio, a publication that had to put out a second edition that year due
to the interest in short-wave generated by Desert Storm.

The Amateur Radio Newsline reports the Vatican may still be alive with the
sound of ham radio. Then again, maybe not. In addition, Newsline also reports
on the 2005 Dayton Hamvention and on hams finding another illegal cordless
phone bothering the 2 meter band.

All licensed amateurs are welcome to check in. Check-ins will be taken by net

control Mark, WA9IVH, at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and
Newsline, and after Newsline.

Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
