The North Shore Radio Club will again link its repeaters on March 24 for the
8:00 p.m. net. Check in on the two meter repeater (147.345 MHz, +600 Hz., PL
107.2 Hz.) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz., PL 100.0 Hz.). It's suggested
that the operator pause for about a second after keying the microphone to allow
the linkage to pick up the request to transmit, especially on the 440 band.

In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and
American Radio Relay League (ARRL) news, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and
AR Newsline. The RAIN report this week features part one of a report on Alan
Kaul, W6RCL - 2005 Ham of the Year and west coast producer of the Today Show and
the NBC Nightly News. A Los Angeles resident, Alan's NBC television
production work has enabled him to operate and promote ham radio worldwide for three
decades.

Amateur Radio Newsline reports that Michael Powell leaves the FCC, that
Norway opens the 5 MHz band and that ham radio tries to help save the final
frontier.

All licensed amateurs are welcome to check in. Check-ins are taken by net
control Mark, WA9IVH, at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and Newsline, and
after Newsline.

Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
