In answer to postings and inquiries about the National Weather
Service (NWS) training available via local EMA/.ESDA county offices
throughout the Illinois Section, here are links to the severe weather
spotter class schedules from the NWS offices that serve Illinois.

Hope you may attend local NWS training provided in conjunction
with your county Emergency Management Agency or ESDA.

For a map of these servicing NWS and which Illinois counties they
serve, see http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ilx/images/cwa-il.jpg

Our Illinois Section goal is to help provide ground truth
observations needed by the servicing NWS and local emergency service
agencies to both save lives and to help ensure accurate reporting to
reduce false alarms by having enough trained observers in every area of
our state. Be weather wise and storm ready all year.
