The North Shore Radio Club will link its Winnetka repeaters on St. Patrick's
Day, March 17, for the 8:00 p.m. CST net. Check in on the two meter repeater
(147.345 MHz, +600 Hz., PL 107.2 Hz.) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz., PL
100.0 Hz.). It's suggested that the operator pause for about a second after
keying the microphone to allow the linkage to pick up the request to transmit,
especially on the 440 band.

In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and
American Radio Relay League (ARRL) news, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and
AR Newsline. The RAIN report this week features "Some Thoughts From
Hap," wherein RAIN Founder/Producer, Hap Holly, KC9RP, spends a few minutes talking about
the RAIN Report, and passes along some particulars about the pending RAIN
Archive CD --- what's on it, and why now.

Amateur Radio Newsline tells us that three men are charged with murdering a
ham
radio couple who disappeared last November and authorities have released some

of their evidence in the case. Also, the Dayton Hamvention announces
its 2005 award winners.

All licensed amateurs are welcome to check in. Check-ins are taken by net
control
Mark, WA9IVH, at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and Newsline, and
after Newsline.

73,
Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
North Shore Radio Club
