The North Shore Radio Club will link its Winnetka repeaters on June 9 for the
8:00
p.m. CDT net. Check in on the two meter repeater (147.345 MHz, +600 Hz., PL
107.2 Hz.) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz., PL 100.0 Hz.). It's suggested
that the operator pause for about a second after keying the microphone to allow
the
linkage to pick up the request to transmit, especially on the 440 band.
In addition to local traffic, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and AR
Newsline. The RAIN report, "2005 FCC Update" Part Two, is an excerpt from the
FCC forum held at the just-completed Dayton Hamvention, a talk by William
Cross, W3TN, an employee of the Public Safety and Critical Infrastructure
division of the FCC's Wireless bureau.
The Amateur Radio Newsline reports that the International Space Station is to
expand operations, Japan goes slow-code, and some good news on the B-P-L.
All licensed amateurs are welcome to check in. Check-ins will be taken by
net
control Mark, WA9IVH, at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and
Newsline, and after Newsline.

Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
