The North Shore Radio Club will probably link its repeaters July 14 for the
8:00 p.m. net. Check in on the two meter repeater (147.345 MHz, +600 Hz., PL
107.2 Hz.) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz., PL 100.0 Hz.). However, please
check 2-meters if you don't hear us on UHF. It's suggested that the operator
pause for about a second after keying the microphone to allow the linkage to
pick up the request to transmit, especially on the 440 band.

In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and
American Radio Relay League (ARRL) news, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and
AR Newsline. The RAIN report, "No Gain No Loss"  Part Two, says that operating
the HF bands (those below 30 MHz) with an indoor antenna can be an exercise in
futility. It can be done, however; just ask Mr. Radio School, Gordon West,
WB6NOA. This week we conclude his 2005 Dayton Hamvention hidden antennas
presentation.

Amateur Radio Newsline reports Australia tries B-P-L telephone and the U-K
reports to hams on the future of the radio spectrum.

All licensed amateurs are welcome to check in. Check-ins are taken by net
control Mark, WA9IVH, at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and Newsline, and
after Newsline.

Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
