The North Shore Radio Club may link its repeaters on July 7 for the 8:00 p.m.
net. For sure you can check in on the two meter repeater (147.345 MHz, +600
Hz., PL 107.2 Hz.). If someone with crossband repeat capability can link the
repeaters, then you can also hear the net on the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz.,
PL 100.0 Hz.).
In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and
American Radio Relay League (ARRL) news, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and
AR Newsline. The RAIN report this week is "No Gain, No Loss" Part One. You may
have heard the adage "No pain, no gain." Here's another one: "No gain, no
loss." This slogan came from Gordon West, WB6NOA, often referred to as Gordo.
RAIN's Founder/Producer Hap Holly, KC9RP, refers to Gordo as ham radio's #1
cheerleader.
Amateur Radio Newsline reports that a private group beats the ARRL in filing
a
restructuring proposal with the FCC, legislation that permits police to act
against interference becomes law in Florida, the San Diego B-P-L trial
seems to be on-hold and RACES returns to the Big Apple.
All licensed amateurs are welcome to check in. Check-ins are taken by net
control Hap, KC9RP, at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and Newsline, and
after Newsline.

Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
