The North Shore Radio Club will link its repeaters December 29 for the 8:00
p.m. CST net. Check in on the two meter repeater (147.345 MHz, +600 Hz, PL
107.2 Hz) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz, PL 100.0 Hz). However, please
check 2-meters if you don't hear us on UHF. It's suggested that the operator
pause
for about a second after keying the microphone to allow the linkage to pick
up the request to transmit, especially on the 440 band.

In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and
American Radio Relay League (ARRL) news, this week's net will include Amateur Radio
Newsline, which reports that 500 Kilohertz has been proposed as an
international memorial frequency, Canadian hams to loose part 220 to 222 MHz, new band
plans in the U-K and Australia and a massive B-P-L rollout announced for Dallas,
Texas in the U-S-A.

All licensed amateurs are welcome to check in. Check-ins are taken by net
control Mark, WA9IVH, at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and Newsline,
and after Newsline.

73,
Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
North Shore Radio Club
