To all:

I apologize for the late notice on this sad news.

I regret to report that Art Blazier, EC for Kane Co. ARES, became a 
silent key Sunday, April 24th. He died of a sudden heart attack after a 
short battle with cancer. His funeral service was today in Hampshire, 
IL. He was buried with full military honors. Art was active in 
increasing emergency communications awareness in the NE IL area. He was 
also active in MARS (Military Affiliate Radio System), and was president 
of the Hampshire Township Historical Society. He will be missed by all 
who knew him.

Woody Olson KB9JHN, and Bob KA9FCF, Kane Co. AEC's will oversee 
operations of Kane Co. ARES pending selection of a new EC.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Art's family during this time.
