Mark, WA9IVH, will be net control for the North Shore Radio Club linked
repeaters on October 28 for the 8:00 p.m. net. Check in on the two meter repeater
(147.345 MHz, +600 Hz., PL 107.2 Hz.) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz., PL
100.0 Hz.). It's suggested that the operator pause for about a second after
keying the microphone to allow the linkage to pick up the request to transmit,
especially on the 440 band.

In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and ARRL
news, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and AR Newsline. The RAIN report
this week features "Voices of RAIN."  This is a rerun of an August, 2003 RAIN
Report in which we featured one of our most prolific script readers.

Amateur Radio Newsline includes reports on a new tool to help hams evaluate
the impact of Broadband over Powerline, new internet linking rules in the
United Kingdom, and other topics of interest.

All check-ins are welcome Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. Check-ins are taken by net
control at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and Newsline, and after
Newsline.

Marilyn Tschannen Gardner, W9LUO
