The North Shore Radio Club of Highland Park will again link its repeaters on
December 16 for the 8:00 p.m. net. Check in on the two meter repeater (147.345
MHz, +600 Hz., PL 107.2 Hz.) or the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz., PL 100.0
Hz.). It's suggested that the operator pause for about a second after keying the
microphone to allow the linkage to pick up the request to transmit,
especially on the 440 band.

In addition to local traffic, and John Wass with the local hamfest and ARRL
news, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and AR Newsline. The RAIN report
this week features "Coaxial Facts Revisited"  Part Two, a rerun of a 2003 RAIN
interview with Ron Stier, W9ICZ, a former 37-year employee of Belden Wire and
Cable.

Amateur Radio Newsline includes a report about hams nationwide being asked to
help find two missing radio amateurs and the president says its time to
define future spectrum needs. Other topics of interest to hams will also be
covered.

Mark, WA9IVH, will be net control. All licensed amateurs are welcome to check
in. Check-ins are taken by net control at the beginning of the net, between
RAIN and Newsline, and after Newsline.
