The North Shore Radio Club, NS9RC, has several repeaters. Two of them are
linked for the Thursday evening nets: the two meter repeater (147.345 MHz, +
600
Hz., PL 107.2 Hz.) and the 440 repeater (442.075 +5MHz., PL 100.0 Hz.). Those
checking in to the 8:00 p.m. net may do so on either repeater. It's suggested
that the operator pause for about a second after keying the microphone to
allow the linkage to pick up the request to transmit, especially on the 440
band.
In addition to local traffic, the NSRC net includes the RAIN report and AR
Newsline. The RAIN report this week features Hap (KC9RP) Holly's interview
with Bob Josuwite, WA3PZO, the Public Service Contributing Editor for CQ
magazine, about the impact ham radio is having during the aftermath of Hurricane
Charlie in central Florida.
All check-ins are welcome Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. Check-ins are taken by net
control at the beginning of the net, between RAIN and Newsline, and after
Newsline.
Our net control station for August 26 is Howard, N9RUI. .
