        Preparations for those of us in the Chicago NWS Office area are
pretty well done.  We expect to have a capability of running four HF
stations on various bands and modes - including CW, and hopefully PSK31. 
There are ten operators lined up and lots of antennae of all kinds.  
Please get on the air starting after 2359Z Dec 5 (Friday evening) and
work as many NWS stations as you can.   Very cool QSL again this year.

        There will be an OPEN HOUSE FOR HAMS starting at 10:00 AM
Saturday until 4:00 PM.  Location is on Renwick  Road between Weber Rd
and IL 7/Il 53, Romeoville, Lewis U. Airport. Guide on the big white
radome.   Drop in and meet some of the hams you will talk to during
severe wx events, and get a guided tour of the NWS office.
