[ILHam] North Shore Radio Club April 8 Meeting - Rich Carlson Guest Speaker

Rich Carlson of CARMA - the Chicago Area Radio Monitoring Association - 
will be guest speaker at the April 8 meeting of the North Shore Radio Club.

Rich, N9JIG, is a Winnetka Police Officer, was previously 
Communications Officer/CSO in Park Ridge, and a Firefighter in 
Buffalo Grove. He is currently the 9-1-1 Director for Winnetka, and 
shares responsibility for installation, repair and operation of 
telephone, radio, security and computer equipment for the department.

Rich joined the predecessor of CARMA in the late 1980's, eventually 
becoming a Director and meeting coordinator. Rich is active on 2 
meters and 440, with occasional activity on 10M SSB. He obtained his 
license with the help of a NSRC class in Northbrook.
