The Plainfield Radio League/Plainfield ARES will be
operating "Class F" for Field Day with the special
event call sign W9P at the Plainfield Emergency
Management Agency's Emergency Operations Center. PEMA
is located at 1116 N. Mill Street in Plainfield. We
will start setting up around 1300 CDT on Saturday,
6/28 and start operating around 1600 CDT. We will
operate primarily on 80m, 40m and 20m. We also hope
to make some SSTV contacts on 20m. Special "W9P" QSL
cards will be printed up and exchanged after the
event.

To get to the Plainfield EOC, our Field Day site:

- If you're coming to Plainfield south on Route 59,
after you pass under the EJ&E viaduct, turn left at
the traffic signal for Plainfield/Naperville Road.
After passing over the railroad tracks, turn right
onto Mill Street. PEMA is located in a garage on the
corner of Mill and Plainfield/Naperville Road--right
next to a Plainfield water tower.

- If you're coming to Plainfield southbound on
Interstate 55, take the IL-126 exit to Plainfield.
After you get into the part of Plainfield where you
start to see homes, you'll pass a large brown-brick
nursing home on the left which is Lakewood Living
Center. Immediately after that, Mill Street will be
located on your right (you'll see the water tower).
Turn right onto Mill Street and go a half of a block
to PEMA (on the left).
