Starts October 1, 2002 -- One night per week for 8-weeks. Will cover
everything you need to pass the Technician exam with Morse code endorsement.

**HERE'S WHY WE DO THE NET**
Are you interested in improving your code skills? Metro Amateur Radio Club
(MAC) would like to be of assistance. Three times a month we provide
on-the-air practice. You don't have to be a MAC member to participate.

**THIS IS THE NET SCHEDULE**
The net operates on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00 P.M.
local (currently 2400 Z, Wednesday). We meet on 7.138 MHz (plus or minus
QRM). Listen for CQ MAC and then send your callsign at YOUR speed. The net
will QRS (slow down) to the speed of the slowest op.

**WE KEEP IT SIMPLE**
We don't use any special net protocol to keep things simple. Although this
net was developed to help Chicago area hams, we encourage out of state
check-ins. If you are a FISTS member, feel free to exchange numbers

After the net, please join us for an informal roundtable discussion on the
MAC repeater (Niles, IL). 147.315 MHz (+600 offset, No PL).

**DONUTS** (Woo Hoo!)
All check-ins can redeem special DONUT QSL (Mmmmmm donuts, is there anything
they can't do?) at the next MAC meeting on October 2, 2002. If you missed
the last meeting... you missed Krispy Kreme donuts!
