The North Shore Radio Club is proud to present one of our own members at our
next monthly on April 9.
Club member Mike Mitchell, K9SKP, will talk about his experiences working
emergency communications for the Red Cross during the 9/11 disaster.
Mike recently became a amateur radio operator, but it did not take him long
to find a place for his considerable computer and radio talents. He will
discuss how he became trained by the Red Cross to work in emergency
situations as well as discuss his own personal experiences while on duty in
New York last December, over Christmas!
This is be a unique opportunity to hear from one of our own who did his part
to help -- and to see first hand what it takes to lend a hand in a true
emergency.
Joins us Tuesday evening at the Karger Recreation Center, 1850 Greenbay Road,
in Highland Park at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
