Ken,
Thank you for your advice. I downloaded a service manual. I will let you know what I find once I get it on bench.

You have an oldie but goodie. I haven’t worked on a ‘3210A but, many years ago, I had repaired a number of ‘3200A rigs. It wasn’t unusual for several or all of the panel lights to be dead. If the ‘3210 is the same/similar to the ’3200 then, IIRC, replacing the bulbs requires removing the front panel and separating the circuit boards so you can access the display.
On the ‘3200A the metal display bezel is held in place by small tabs that are slightly twisted to hold it in place. To remove the bezel very carefully twist the tabs flat so they pass through the slots in the circuit board. Don’t be alarmed but the entire LCD display will fall off the board when the bezel is released. It is held to the board only by the bezel.
If you look at the board and the back of the display you will see “zebra stripes” (I forget the trade name for the connector) that have to be aligned for everything to work. Don’t worry, I never had one fail to seat properly if clean and the tabs were carefully rebent to hold the bezel.
Once you get the display off you will see the incandescent bulbs. You might consider replacing them with LEDs but, at the time I was repairing these rigs, I used incandescents and they lasted a long time. My son’s is still working and I must have repaired that over twenty years ago.
I suggest getting hold of a service manual that will show you how to disassemble the front panel as well as provide board layouts and schematics to assist you.
Good luck with your repair!
