Did you clean the contacts between the Head and the Body of the radio?

I have a "dead" Icom 706 MK II G that does not power up. I have performed the procedure outlined by "YOU TUBE" correcting the short caused by corrosion and a short that is a typical  problem that occurs with 706 series.
It still does not pwerw up when turned on. All fuses are good. Thanks for advice.
