Have you tried the radio on a dummy load and see if that still occurs?
You may be getting some rf into your transmit audio.
Is your antenna very close to your operating position?

Subject: [ICOM] IC-765 Internal Audio Noise

I have an Icom 765 and have noticed that when I'm transmitting on SSB, it
sounds like I'm hearing slight RF coming from inside the radio, it's like a
whispering audio sound, yes its kind of hard to describe. I've eliminated
the mic, doesn't matter if the tuner is off or on. I thought initially it
was my PC speakers beside the rig picking up my audio, which I eliminated.
It does not seem to be coming from my internal speaker either.
Does not matter if the processor is on or off and even with mic gain almost
off its still apparent. Anyone run across this before?
