[ICOM] re using voice recorder in IC-7610

Thanks for your reply. That's unfortunate as when I read the detailed manual
it sure sounded that they had enabled that feature to playback the recorded
off air audio to be able to transmit it.
I know that the IC7300 would not do that directly as one had to record it
in a computer before being able to play it back on the air which really made
it useless for that option.
I recall talking to some reps from Icom America last year at the Dayton
hamfest and they told me that they couldn't enable that feature as it was
ILLEGAL!
Well guess what Elecraft has that feature on all their hf transceivers as
well as other manufacturers.
What they also really need to enable in those new Icom radios is a noise
gate in the mic input to eliminate any background to be transmitted (such as
noisy blower in amplifier, etc.)
That feature should be easily enabled with new firmware. The older Yaesu
FT-980 even that mic noise gate in it.

The radio does not allow playback of recorded transmissions over the air.
Nothing wrong with the radio.

I just recently acquired a new IC-7610.
I've been able to record incoming transmissions off air but I can't seem to
enable the radio to transmit that recording.
When I try to play it back, I do hear the to be transmitted audio but no ptt
is being enabled,
How do I enable that feature>
