[ICOM] INRAD roofing filters question

INRAD makes roofing filters for a few different Icom radios-like the 756PRO
series, 781, and 775.  I think these are rated as 5khz filters.  How do
they compare in performance to the 3khz roofing filters Icom is now putting
in some rigs like the 7410, 7600 and the like?  The INRAD filters are much
bigger in size, not sure if they differ in performance. Would the 2khz
difference have much of an effect?
