Jerry, thanks for your response. Yes, DC is getting to the transceiver. I suspect a problem with the Lan on the board taking the HV around inside the transceiver. Then there might be the problem of corrosion between the two boards separated by some type of foam that separates the two boards from each other. I had that problem with the other Icom MK IIG I own.
I like the Icom 706 MKII G when they are working. 73, John, K5PGW
