[ICOM] No power out on my 7600

The lightning strike does not analyze wires, are they signal or ground or DC
or AC ones. During the discharge the energy is getting induced on any wire.
The longer the wire, the stronger the induced energy will be.
If there is a chance of a lightning strike, the radio has to be disconnected
from ANY wire and eventually kept away from any wires, cables or power
lines.

That's how I lost output om my 756PRO. Huge lightning hit to a nearby power
line. I 'think' the strike came in via the Neutral leg. Took out the Astron,
756PRO, TV, VCR, both rotor boxes, etc.

Phil.....was there a ground wire connected to the rig when everything elese
was removed? Sometimes the lightning can get in thru the ground lead.
Hapeened twice to a friend in S.Fla. Only ground was connected to his radio.
