Are you asking about receive audio tone or transmit audio tone?

As has been posted many times in this group, the user manual is available
for download.

On page 12-3 of the most recent "CD-ROM" manual, you will find the Tone
Control settings. These settings are access through the Set Mode.

For each voice mode (SSB, AM, and FM) in receive, you can select either High
and Low Pass filters or you can select Bass and Treble adjustments.

For each data mode (CW and RTTY) in receive, you can select High and Low
Pass filters.

For each voice mode (SSB, AM, and FM) in transmit, you can select Bass and
Treble adjustments. Additionally, in SSB, you have three choices of
selectable transmit bandwidth with the low end selectable as 100, 200, 300,
or 500 Hz and the high end selectable as 2500, 2700, 2800, or 2900 Hz.
