[ICOM] 765 parts question

Hi,'
I have an IC-IC765
Once I had exactly same problem and I could manage to pull(unscrew) the 
slug out
and could adjust it. I used a tiny drop of epoxy glue at the tip of 
tooth pick(cut off pointy part)
touching the top of slug, waited over night for the glue to bond.
