True. There are other service shops that work on all radios but some specialize on specific brands. Although not personally familiar with this fellow, his name has popped up several times.
Out in my neck of the woods is:
Malcom Technical Support5130 Jackson HwyToledo, WA 98591-8680Phone: 360-864-8438
But then, I can also throw a rock and hit ICOM America Headquarters in Bellevue, WA too.

Thanks for clarifying that. So Matt Adrian is not affiliated with Icom, do I understand that correctly? IF so that is great because I have a 706 that needs the VHF/HF switch replaced.

I thought I had read on here that Icom no longer services 706 radios.

Send it to Matt Adrian KD8ZB Icom Service. Excellent service. I have used
him for several radios.

Hi,All- My 706 wouldn't come on ,a week ago. Played with it in
the vec. Then took it into the house, and hooked it up. Nothing in or out.
Changes freq on the repeater freqs,a faint osc on 30 and 20 mtrs.
That's it Checked the fuses and the one in the case. Thought i used to hear
a relay change ,when i keyed the mic,but havne't found a relay,as yet. Any
ideas?/ Hate to ship it ,but look some more,I guess!!TKS,Jerry W8KQ
most of my op is thru repeaters!
