[ICOM] External Tuner

Hi All,
I anticipate the purchase a MFJ 998 Auto IntelliTunerT and integrate it with
my ICOM IC-765 station. 
Has anyone out there already done so and have comments on the combination?

On the IC-7600, as soon as you insert the plug into the "tuner" jack on the
radio, the radio disables the internal tuner and uses the external tuner. I
believe that my IC-746Pro was the same. The 7600 has two antenna jacks--the
feedline connected to ANT1 has to go to the external tuner. But, you can
still connect a feedline for a separate antenna to ANT2 and use the internal
tuner with it.
