I think the HT's with low serial numbers you could only program the offsets
in the first couple of memories. In later year HT's I think this restriction
was removed.

By the way, I bought the antenna for this new on eBay for $5 including
shipping, and about 
$15 or $20 for a battery pack. Not bad... now if I can just program the
offsets!
