Call Jim at Burghardt Radio Repair 605-886-7314. I bet he will be able to
fix it for you. He is real good repairing Icom radio's. Mark W2YM 73's.

Unfortunately, Jim, Matt @ SARTS advised me this morning that they can no
longer service the 765 because of unavailability of so many OEM parts. :( I
under where he's coming from given the scope of their service coverage for
Icom radios. This therefore leaves me to my own devices. I have seen quite
a
few 765 modules parted-out on ebay (though at premiums by in large). But,
if
I could pin down the module the culprit resides in, that might be a far
more
practical way to go (given you have to put a $ on your own time too at some
point). I will be digging deeper in the Service Manual to see about tracing
out and testing the various modules for proper function. Since I've really
nothing to lose at this point, it might be a great way to become immersed
in
the practice (as I am a software guy by trade). :)
