I misunderstood the original post. My display will not light up at all if the rig is not used for several weeks. I just leave it on for a while, turn it off and back on and it lights. If use it often enough, it lights up every time.

Guys: It is a characteristic of the TFT display used in the 756Pros to be darker in a colder temperature. That is mentioned in the manual. The display will brighten after a short while.
