Dan:There is very likely something amiss, most likely in the PA module if
turnng off the power from the radio's power button did not reduce the p/s
current requirement to zero. Most modern solid state radios leave the +13.8
v DC applied to the radios PA module when the radio is turned off from it's
front panel power button.
I suspect you have an intermittent transistor or other pa module component.

I am going to look at the schematic of the Pro 2 and try to find that
