To interface the IC-7600 to a logging program or a sound card digital mode
program, you can use the USB interface. Make sure to download the latest
driver from Icom and install it _*before*_ connecting the cable between the
radio and computer. The driver will allow the radio's CI-V control to
appear on a COM port in the computer and the radio's RX and TX audio will
appear as USB sound cards to the computer.

Note that you will be connecting to the USB port on the back of the radio.
The USB port on the front is only for a USB keyboard or a USB thumb drive.

I use the Icom USB interface regularly to interface my IC-7600 to
HRD/DM780, fldigit, and N1MM/MMTTY. The one limitation that this interface
has is that it will not do FSK RTTY, only AFSK RTTY.

As for interfacing to your tuner and amp, you will probably need to use the
CI-V port on the radio. I have heard anecdotal that you can't use the CI-V
port and the USB port for computer control of the radio simultaneously, but
I don't know how that impacts CI-V control of an external tuner and amp.
